Refresh Palliative Care Medical Ward A
11th December 2025
As part of OP4P support of the Palliative Care expansion it was important to also refresh the palliative care spaces in Medical Ward A. Orange Hospital has refreshed the paint work in the family /lounge area and the corridor.
OP4P has fundraised to replace most of the furniture and artwork in the family room. In a flurry of activity in mid-December the new paint work happened and the new furniture delivered - new leather lounges, new Stressless recliners, new coffee and sidetables. It looks fantastic and just in time to put up the Christmas decorations .
We have also hung a beautiful new artwork by local artist Clare Leeuwin-Clark which is a joyous depiction of a young girl and her dog in the vineyards at the foothills of Mt Canobolas. The artist painted this scene particularly for Palliative Care.
There will be more photographic images by the late Alf Manciagli to be hung in the next few weeks to mirror the art work in the new expansion on Level One Medical Ward B/C.
We have had great positive feedback from nursing staff and families over the Christmas period.
A very exciting time for us all.
